No he doesn't. Don't forget crazy Charlies rules of signing players. Remember Bergenheim? |

I brought this up a month ago and people were arguing with me that it was just business as usual......standard procedure. Its a red flag, and the fact that he hasnt signed is not good news. |

Of course it's not but don't tell any of the lemmings it's not. You'll be labled a complainer, debbie downer, OR as I like to refer to it; a realistic intelligent person. |

Im actually very curious to see how this all plays out. I almost want the worst to happen, because i'd love to see Garth squirm (include the Viz situation). I just wanna hear his speech about losing Viznovsky and not being able to sign Martin (if this happens).
"We feel that while we cannot replace the league leader in hits, and a top pair defensman on our team, we believe that we have the assets in bridgeport to make this team compete for the stanley cup". Sounds about right to me... |

its amazing how when the islanders originally trade for Vis, its not a huge deal or a huge upgrade from this past season (before any talk about NTC/NMC came out)....but if the isles were to lose him, now all of a sudden hes a top pairing defensemen that needs to be replaced and what a travesty it would be to lose him....that cake must be tasting really good!!! |

I GOT THAT....my point was before any of the grievance crap came out, the isles getting visnovsky wasnt a big deal from the same people who will now complain that losing him would be awful |

You really have a convoluted way of looking at things. Just because we weren't sucking Snow off for the trade means you don't have the right to be concerned or wonder what the hell is going on? This makes zero sense. Not having a Defenseman is of course not as good as having one. I for one said it was a good trade. Maybe I wasn't hailing it like we just acquired Lidstrom but I didn't think it was a bad trade even if I didn't blow it up like the lemmings did. Seriously. It seems you can't have an opinion if it's contrary to yours which seems to change daily. |

It's not a "huge deal" or a "huge upgrade" but take him away from that equation and our blue line is even more of a disaster than it was before. This has to be explained to you???? It seems so elementary to me? |

The point that i'm trying to make is that murphy's law always applies to the Islanders and their offseason moves. Let's face it, while Viz is a very good dman, he's a top pairing dman on OUR TEAM. It seems like Snow always makes moves that straddle impossibility. Ryan Smyth ring a bell? It's as if it's a foregone conclusion that the end result is that the move is NOT going to work, and yet he's doing it anyway. It's a splash to make a splash. No one talked about the NTC because no one would ever imagine that Snow, or any other GM for that matter would make a move like that knowing it existed. And yet, here we are. Snow may be working with a limited budget, but this is the Smyth move all over again, or dare I say the lighthouse commercials aired in the Coliseum. A foregone conclusion, when in reality it was based on a wing and a prayer. |

I actually dont recall anyone on here not liking the Viznovsky trade. Matter of fact, even some of the "less knowledgable" fans were happy. |

I hate to say it, but this is what happens when you have your back up goalie wearing your GM hat. You're going to miss the "fine print".

His answer to this will be it's Anaheims fault OR how do we know how this trade thing works. |
